Agnes or Aggie Whyte (d. 1979) was the first woman to win the All-Ireland Senior Fiddle Championship in 1954. From Ballinakill, County Galway, daughter of fiddler Tommy Whyte. She played in The Leitrim Ceili Band and The Tulla Ceili Band and would later move to New York City. In 1951 she recorded traditional tunes with Alan Lomax which would be made with the cooperation of the Irish Folklore Commission, the BBC, and Radió Éireann.
