Agnes Gooch are no newcomers in the rockbizniz, this L.A band released a major label album on Revolution/Warner Bros in 1997 titled "Blind". The band went on a long hiatus until 2004. Imagine a mix between Vertical Horizon and Jimmy Eat World but more alternative rock and youll get the follow up album "Now I see". The band name came from an early drummer, whose babysitter used to threaten him with retribution at the hands of the namesake character from the musical Mame. Guitarists Nathan Ehrenfeld and Mat Baker chose to form a band, soon adding a bass player going by the name Johnny Lonely. After several false starts, drummer Scott Bushkin completed the lineup and the group began to play out, attracting a following on the L.A. club scene and signing a record deal with Revolution.
