In 1999, Ville Valo from HIM and the Agents performed together at Finnish tv-program ''Laulava Sydän'', where Finnish singers performed popular Finnish schlager songs. Program was recorded on double-cd and DVD. Valo was one of the singers in the show and performed three songs: ''Paratiisi'', "Jykevää on Rakkaus'' and ''Ikkunaprinsessa''. All of them are songs Rauli ''Badding'' Somerjoki used to perform with the Agents. Although it was a different style from his band HIM, Valo promptly accepted the invitation, as Badding is one of Ville's biggest musical influences. He often tells in interviews his father Kari used to play him Badding's songs when he cried as a baby, and the music would eventually calm him down. In 2018, after HIM ended its farewell tour, Valo reunited with Agents to release a new album with some previously unreleased songs by Finnish singer-songwriter Rauli "Badding" Somerjoki. The recordings were found in tapes by Esa Pulliainen. The first single "Orpolapsi Kiurun" was released on 21 September 2018. Ville Valo and Agents performed at the annual Emma Gala on 2 February 2019, and released their self-titled album on 15 February. The album went gold in less than a week and debuted at number one on the Finnish Album Chart. The group began their Finnish tour in March, which concluded in August.
