Chris Hamiwest, also known as AGATCHU, is a rising singer-songwriter and producer from Luanda - Angola. Born in the 90s, He began rapping as a teenager and later formed a music band while in high school. Agatchu's perspicacity paid off when he decided to design his own beats, despite financial constraints preventing him from acquiring them overwise. Today, he has become the composer for numerous Afro-beat artists. Agatchu learned to speak four languages fluently, including French, English, Spanish and Portuguese, after traveling to various African and European countries. Thanks to these experiences, he has also slowly transformed his musical style, adopting a more folk-afro and pop sound. The platinum producer and songwriter has contributed to the success of famous Afro song in several languages and continents, including Lingala and Hausa. He has a remarkable ability to captivate his audience with his stories through the tribal melodies he uses. He describes his music as being composed of frequencies with spiritual and therapeutic properties. His main sources of inspiration include reggae music legends such as Alpha Blondy, Lucky Dube and Bob Marley, as well as renowned musicians such as Shabba Ranks and Kanye West.
