Against Empire is a blackened anarcho-crust punk band formed in Los Angeles, California in 2000. Or as the band puts it; “Against Empire is a blackened filet o crust punk, marinated in d beats and group vocals, then coated with a layer or general disgust for everyone with dollar signs in their eyes. They hate capital, and they have a split with Iskra what more do you need to know.” Against Empire released their first recording, a split with Holokaust, in 2004 and released their debut album, The Ones Who Strike The Blows Forget...The Ones Who Bear The Scars Remember, in 2005.
