Hailing from a storied hometown in the hardcore music scene shrouded for years in mystery, violence and rumors (some true, some not), Aftermath of a Trainwreck emerge with a mission and a purpose. Combining elements of old-school hardcore, metal, and massive breakdowns that Salt Lake City bands are known for, they take it one step further by blending them into an energetic, exciting and downright brutal musical experience matched by few others in hardcore today. Not many bands stand behind what they say in a genre where the fakes are often revealed and ridiculed, and those who choose to abstain from drugs and alcohol are either laughed at or they give it up in a year. Aftermath of a Trainwreck is a refreshing change giving hardcore kids everywhere a reliable sincere outlet of anger and opposition. Aftermath has wasted little time blazing a trail. Shortly after forming, they gained the attention of New Age Records owner Mike Hartsfield. At that point New Age Records wasn’t even a functioning label. “I love hardcore but at that point in my life none of the bands I was seeing were making me want to give the label another go.” Hartsfield states. “When I saw Aftermath I was completely blown away.
