afterhourless is the solo project of Rafael Panke: a return to his musical roots, where a steady acid rain of guitars meets the gentle breeze of reverb-soaked vocal melodies, echoing amid occasional synthesized flashes that rumble like distant thunder. After more than two decades immersed in music production - playing in various bands and projects from the Brazilian independent scene, such as ruído/mm, Delta Cockers, and Lonely Nerds’ Songbox, as well as collaborating with artists like Marina Gasolina and Rosie & Me - Rafael now retreats to harvest his own storm. This is his first fully solitary endeavor: writing the lyrics and music, performing and recording all instruments, as well as handling production and mixing himself. No Friends at Dusk is the first record of this renewed encounter with himself, a four-track EP jointly released by Spleen Teen (BR) and Shore Dive Records (UK).
