Sadly, Affections Else is on the verge of breaking up, as members are going their different ways. This Chicago band won't be forgotten. Hailing from the South Side of Chicago, Affections Else is a four-piece (now 5 piece, once again, featuring our new guitar play Chris Krum) hardcore band, who does whatever it takes to get where they want to be. Formed around two years ago, in the summer of 04, they have already put out an independently-released CD EP, whipped up a website along with merchandise, obtained a couple independent clothing sponsorships, gone on multiple tours all over the country, and established a solid presence all over the internet. The Coroners Monologue is the bands debut release. It is a 5 song EP recorded in St. Louis, within 1 month of the bands creation that clearly shows the path that AE plans to follow throughout their musical career. Although not afraid of terms like hardcore, post-hardcore, screamo, AE is also not confined to such terms. Their 2004 debut CD shows a start which can be described by the aforementioned terms, however, their recently-recorded 3 song demo shows a significant musical evolution over a short period of time.
