After forming in December of 2012, Aethereal started recording their debut album. They are based out of the Chicago area, and are comprised of 4 high school students. Previously, they have performed at venues, such as The Empty Bottle, The Abbey Pub, and Mayne Stage. Additionally, they have recently performed live on WZRD Chicago 88.3 FM. Their record is still in development and will be released early 2015. Aethereal mainly plays psychedelic rock. They capture the groovy sounds that made the late ‘60s so great. They are inspired by bands like Pink Floyd, The Thirteenth Floor Elevators, The Moody Blues, Aphrodite’s Child and Yes. As well as more modern psychedelia, like Tame Impala, Temples, The Night Beats, and Jacco Gardner.
