Adamantis is a band from Brighton, Massachusetts, founded in 2016. They debuted in 2018 with an EP called "Thundermark," followed by their first full-length, "Far Flung Realm," in 2020. In 2022, they returned with a second EP, titled "The Daemon's Strain," which was released on April 15th through Cruz del Sur Music. This year, 2025, they returned with a new full-length album titled Reforged. Adamantis' strong suit is their two guitarists, Javier Estrada and Vance Simmons. The six-string guitar was practically the soul of the debut album, and this time, they are once again the driving force of the second album, "Reforged." Throughout, their riffs are challenging and powerful, and while not as virtuosic, they keep their finger on the pulse to maintain their intensity. What's most striking is how the album's best moments come when the power metal kicks in. I think the Americans' best facade is when they incorporate power and that ever-present dizzying double bass drum. The best proof of this is what they did on "Far Flung Realm."
