Adam’s Ruin formed in March of 2006. Just eight short months later, the band was named “The Best Band in Denver” by KPBI radio…a Clear Channel station and the fourth largest Rock radio station in the US. “The Best Band in Denver” contest attracted almost four hundred bands from around the region. Thanks to a growing and loyal fan base, Adam’s Ruin was the clear winner. In December of 2006, the band had the privilege of playing KPBI’s “Mistletoe Jam” at the Fillmore auditorium. Adam’s Ruin opened for the national act Saliva and played in front of over three thousand people. The response was so amazing; KPBI’s Program Director/morning show DJ Willy B sent the band immediately to a studio to cut a three song demo. On Thursday February 1, 2007, Adam’s Ruin was featured on Uncle Nasty’s top rated evening show on KBPI. In addition to an interview with Joel and James, the newly recorded and mastered song “Fly Away” debuted on the radio. Later the same evening, the Adam’s Ruin song “Pillar” was featured on KBPI’s “Mettalix” show. On Friday February 2, 2007, Adam’s Ruin headlined a show at the Gothic Theatre in Englewood, CO. The crowd was one of the largest ever to attend a local Denver “Metal” show. Adam’s Ruin owes everything to their loyal fans, KBPI Radio, Clear Channel, Willy B, Uncle Nasty, the local promoters, the band’s management and the entire list of national and local bands they have shared the stage with including: Sevendust (March 2007) Saliva Crossfade 36 Crazyfist
