Popular in the early 1960s with vocal styling similar to that of Johnny Mathis, in 1961 three of Wade's songs ("Take Good Care of Her", "As If I Didn't Know", and "The Writing on the Wall") made the Top Ten in Billboard's Top 100. 2) Adam Wade (born in Washington, D.C., on 3 July 1968) is an American drummer. He was a member of Jawbox, Shudder To Think, Sweet 75 and The Jealous Sound. Wade was the first African-American to host a television game show ( Musical Chairs) in 1975. He starred in the production Guys and Dolls in 1978 and hosted the talk show Mid-Morning LA. Wade briefly returned to recording in the mid-1970s, producing a self–titled album on the Kirschner record label, which was distributed by Columbia Records.
