Adam Certamen Bownik was born in Lublin (Poland), in 1972. He works as an assistant adjunct professor (PhD) at the University in Lublin, the Department of Physiology and Toxicology. He was already interested in electronic music when he was as a child and listened to the hits composed by Marek Biliński, Vangelis and Jarre but only music of Tangerine Dream and Klaus Schulze firmely turned him to this kind of music. In the 80's, analog synthesizers were very expensive, so he could not afford to buy this kind of equipment. In the past (1990-1994) he also played the drums and was a vocalist in a death metal band 'Certamen'. Practically all of his music is free downloadable, either under creative commons license on jamendo, or through his own website.
