Artist
Acid Ranch is one more in a long line of Robert Pollard side projects. These basement recordings feature Bob along with his brother Jim Pollard and Mitch Mitchell playing semi-improvised, pre-Guided By Voices songs captured in lower-than-lo-fi sound quality. Three Acid Ranch albums were released in limited editions on vinyl only. Some Of The Magic Syrup Was Preserved (double LP, 500 copies) was released in 2002 on the Fading Captain label. Acid Ranch As Forever: A Manifesto Of Fractured Imagination And Wreckless Living (record sleeves hand screen-printed over old album covers, 525 copies) was released in 2005 on Rockathon Records. The Great Houdini Wasn't So Great (500 copies) was released in 2007 on Record Company Records. More information, including track listings at www.gbvdb.com/artist.asp?artistsort=Acid+Ranch.
