Achelya, born Melisa Kisial, is a multidisciplinary artist originally from Turkey and currently based in the UK. Her work blends music, audio poetry, movement, and emotional storytelling. From a young age, she expressed herself through drawing and singing, later discovering poetry at the age of six after learning to read and write. Although she pursued and found success in industrial engineering, Achelya followed her creative calling across multiple art forms. She also spent part of her journey teaching belly dancing, a discipline that deeply influences her connection to rhythm, femininity, and stage presence. In 2021, she published her poetry book Love Through Light, an Amazon bestseller, pairing her poems with meditation music. The same year, she received the Natural Skin Beauty Award at Top Model UK. Achelya has released four albums: Love Through Light 1 and Love Through Light 2 (2023), both audio poetry albums; Queendom (2024); and Cosmic Album (2024). Her catalog also includes several EPs, such as Beautifully and Goddess, with her most recent EP Blue Butterfly released on January 1, 2026. She has performed for large audiences, with her first live performance of the track I’m Free going viral. Achelya’s artistic vision has drawn comparisons to iconic artists such as Shakira and Björk, both cited as inspirations for her bold, expressive, and genre-blending style.
