1) Abstract Echoes is a band based in Halifax, Nova Scotia whose music spans a variety of genres including pop/rock, reggae, blues, funk, jazz, and world (flamenco, latin, african). The variety stem's from Tomi's globe trotting lifestyle and intrigue with music and culture. Always keen to learn new styles and fuse ideas, his compositions cover nearly as much ground as he has with his backpack. Vince, Adam and Dave are also no strangers the eclectic world of music and fusion, stacking the songs with syncopated rhythms, funky twists, and tightly interwoven tapestries of harmony and groove. Check out a show and see for yourself! You'll discover a band churning out grooves with a fresh spin that fuses styles, improvisation, and the expected, into an eclectic mixture you wouldn't expect. Be prepared to rock, relax, groove, move, and think, but be prepared to forget whatever has been plaguing your mind. Tomi is a world traveler, engineer, and multi-instumentalist singer/songwriter, Vince is a full-time music teacher (bass, guitars, drums), Adam is a full-time music student, and Dave is a drum/jazz fanatic with three drum kits. All four are actively engaged in music and probably will be until they're old farts with appendages that no longer work. Even then, I'm sure they'll find a way to whack their heads on something for some sort of musical expression.
