Abstinentia is a veganpunk from Moravia, Czech republic. Their website states the following: "All members of Abstinentia are vegans and abstain from all legal and illegal drugs. However we don't stand on the vegan straight edge band label that so often conceals attitudes which we don't associate ourselves with. We have chosen the way of life where eating dead bodies and concentrated exploitation of animals has no place. We have chosen a life without drugs to control our acts completely, because the limitation of mind is one of the weapons of the system used to rule our lives. We support anarchist ideas, the principle of freedom and responsibility, and the free fulfilling of our needs and interests without harming others. We are involved in the animal rights movement, support human rights activities and antifascism. We are convinced that human behaviour can diminish both human and animal suffering. That’s why we endeavour to spread the ideas mentioned above via our lyrics, discussions, info stalls and distribution."
