ARTiCLEAR is a visual kei band formed in late 2018 in Tokyo, Japan. The band consists of vocalist Jin (儿), guitarists Itsuki (樹) and MAKOTO (誠), bassist Rui (ルイ), and drummer Taji (多時). Former THE BLACK SWAN members Jin, Itsuki, and Makoto joined forces with former SCREW member Rui, and accomplished support drummer Taji, who had worked with bands like AUTO-MOD. The band introduced their sound with the release of their first full song, "Solitudart," through a lyric music video on December 24, 2018. ARTiCLEAR made their debut performance on March 5, 2019, at TSUTAYA O-WEST in Shibuya. On January 29, 2019, ARTiCLEAR released their first music video, "Hekiraku no 'Kimi' he," showcasing their dark and melancholic sound. The band garnered attention with their debut mini-album, "Reimeiki no Yume," released on November 27, 2019. They returned with their second EP, "Ikei no Musou," released digitally on December 25, 2019. On December 29, 2020, they unveiled the music video for the song "Tensei Shitara 'Jin' Datta Kudan," directed by vocalist Jin. The song delved into Jin's self-reflection and featured a heavy, dark instrumental composition. "Tensei Shitara 'Jin' Datta Kudan" was part of their long-awaited mini-album "Ikei no Musou", released on December 25, 2020. ARTiCLEAR continued their artistic progression with the release of their EP "Kagen no Tsukuyomi" on December 16, 2021, followed by the EP "Haiiro no Ningen" on December 5, 2022.
