AMS has never quit working. In 2009, still feeling unsated off the heels of "Natural (Self)," he launched himself into an album that would be the other side of the coin. He wanted to write an album that felt like his new found voice in writing, but stung with the vitriol of his early days in hip-hop. It took 3 years to combine the two voices. But now, what we have is, once again, a brand new AMS, exposed to everything from art rap to progressive rock, and everything in-between. And to make the deal a little sweeter, he brought some friends along with him to tell the story: songstresses, rappers, instrumentalists, turntablists, drum machine athletes...the list almost runs too long, but makes for a head-nodding exercise that includes everything from lucid dreaming to insomnia. Politics to Russian sci-fi tinged space epics. Cypher sessions to nightclub fallouts. One more time around. One more record. One more exposure. One more take. One more sip. One more cut.
