There is more than one band called ALGOLAGNIA: 1 ) Goregrind/Mincecore band from Oakland 2 ) Algolagnia, once known as Snithan, was first created as a side project of Arckum member Kenneth Parker as a side project to diversify the Oregon Metal scene. XRO was hired on for vocals to bring a new breathe of Evil into this creation. After much planning and talk, Snithan fell through the cracks into a black nothingness where it changed and morphed, spewing many different biles and poisons, until finally after the mutual dispersion of Kenneth to become Algolagnia, the opus of the Void and Death. It's essence has finally vibrated into existence before it may burst forth from the cracks of the Earth as a violent miasma to kill life as it is known. One album has been released as a prequel to the upcoming, unnamed album. Visions of Eternal Rest explores the ambient side of Algolagnia by being a pure reflection of what the band really is on the more deeper level. Visions consists of three tracks: 1. Of The Beyond 2. Spear Of Eyes 3. Death Was Never An End Each of these are a systematic exploration through existence after what is known as Death through aggressive vibration, choirs, soundscapes, and unearthly noises so the listener may experience the confusion and fear of understanding that you are no longer what you were and have become something you could never truly understand.
