Artist
AJ Brown is fast becoming recognised as one of the most exciting new musical talents to hail from the UK. Winning praise both on home shores as well as internationally AJ has burst onto the live music scene as a singer/songwriter/pianist/saxophonist playing a host of gigs in the UK & Ireland, Europe and Scandinavia. This young man from Halifax in the North of England is influenced by the sounds of artists such as Disclosure, Michael Bublé and Lionel Richie but it is his own smooth self-penned lyrics that are wowing audiences across the UK. And with his repertoire including a string of classics, albeit with his own AJ twist, AJ’s name is one that will soon be very well recognised. Early Career Beginning with the alto saxophone at a young age, AJ first played with the Calderdale Youth Big Band before joining the Wigan Youth Jazz Orchestra under the musical direction of Ian Darrington. AJ studied at Leeds College of Music for three years where he played and sang with the College Big Band before graduating in 2011.
