If you know me, then you know me..Ive never changed only grew with wisdom thats blessed me. MUSIC is my passion, my love, my escape route when my emotions cannot be explained through conversation or even when they do need to be explained.. Im ADH At the age of 6 months, music was already flowing through out the soul of Alpha Diop (ADH). Influenced by his mother (Aissataou Diop) who is a dance artist/teacher and his father (Vieux Diop) who is an international recording artist/musician, you can understand why music was a natural feeling for ADH. Vieux is a master musician of the kora which is an indigenous instrument of West Africa. Since moving to the U.S. in 1984, Diop has lectured and performed at hundreds of venues, colleges and universities through out the country. Vieux has released many albums in the U.S., starting with his self-titled 1995 debut. ADH began as a drummer and has drummed in several dance companies in which he has performed all over the country. Most notably he has performed 3 times at the Brooklyn Academy of Music for Dance Africa 2006, 2008, and 2009. ADH has played for classes as well as local drum workshops so that he can spread his African Culture. He plays 3 different types of orchestras in African drumming. ADH also went to school for music in Brooklyn where he learned the trap drums at the age of 10. ADH also got accepted to the Brooklyn High School of Performing Arts due to his exceptional talent.
