Jazz, chip-tune and beatz. Andrew G (previously under the name A.Gerady) presents a mixed and un-organised bag at first glance, but once you get past the this patchwork exterior it becomes clear that he is one of Newcastle's most exciting young talents. Andrew has several electronic releases through the label Ugmo Records, his debut EP 'Meditations On First Dance' is a thumping exploration into a world where nightmares establish the table rules, god plays tennis, and nothing is confirmed real. It is the musical recognition of what we have been asking ourselves our entire lives; is this real? As well as producing this philosophical nonsense, Andrew plays regularly with his jazz/funk group 'The Andrew Geraghty Trio', recently performing at the Newcastle Jazz Festival 2011 and supporting Gerard Masters. The Trio should be (if all goes to their sketchy plans) releases an EP of original tunes sometime this year. Andrew G is also part of several other Newcastle bands, including 'The Skyscrapers' and 'The White Band'.
