A.F.R.O. stands for Artistic Feelings Reaching Out. Born december 17 1974 in Lisboa (Lisbon), moved to Rotterdam in 1980 where I began to listen to Hip-Hop in the late 80's.. Salt & Pepa, Erik B & Rakim, Public Enemy, LL Cool J, Leaders of The New School, Jungle Brothers were just some of the sounds that made me start to love Hip-Hop. Nowadays I have a lot of love for artists like, R.I.P. J-Dilla, Slum Village, Kev Brown, Kenn Starr, Odissee and the whole Low Budget Crew, Stones Throw and their diverse sounds! I started making beats in 2004 and back then I had never seen music software and had no knowledge at all on how to make a track... Had to do al lot of self study to learn all the basics but I think I managed quite well, and untill today I still give it 100% to keep growing.. but I'll let you all be the judge of that at http://www.myspace.com/afrotechbeats1974.
