A kutya vacsorája (The Dog's Dinner in english) was formed in 2003 by Livius Varga also known from Quimby. According to Livius Varga's grandmother, the life of a musician is like the dog's dinner (it's never certain). The granny - knowing the situation of the Hungarian music industry - is right, but this kind observation didn't scare the rapping conga player of Quimby away from forming a separate band (named after his grandmother's words) with Quimby drummer, Ferenc Gerdesits in the summer of 2003. But don't think of this as Livius' solo work, A kutya vacsorája is more than his own production. Livius found professional musicians to play with him, who make a perfect band on stage, and are a creative community under the supervision of Geri Kovács in the studio. The performers came from the world of rock, alternative rock, soul, jazz and folk and this interesting mix can be felt in the music of A kutya vacsorája. The lineup changed in 2004, making the sound harder and in its current state it looks like this: Gergely Kovács - guitar, keyboard, programming Ferenc Gerdesits - drums Laca Varga - bass István Köles Jr. - percussion Zoltán Nemes - keyboard Livius Varga - rap, stand up Former members: Viki Voga - vocals Attila Szabó - violin Their demo is available for free download on their official site http://www.akutyavacsoraja.hu/, and the first album is in the works and will be realeased (hopefully) in 2008.
