A Venus Fly Trap is a distinctive band whose members feel most comfortable when they create and perform their music only for their own senses as well as in front of the curious explorers of music genres and styles. Driven by the desire to make something happen these three guys from Skopje contradict the urban dullness, the so-called avant-garde and the mediocrity bravely facing hypocrisy and duplicity of the false urban spirit. In fact, they set off on their journey from their own obsessions and personal contradictions in an attempt to reach a new personal utopia. The musical expression of AVFT fluctuates between New Order, The Fall, Social Distortion, Mars Volta, The Cure, Ex Models, Buzzcocks and Snеаker Pimps eventually shaping itself in a unique existence that lures the listeners into the layered artistic realities of these three main characters and much like the eponymous plant, traps them into their own world.
