It was the in the year 2000 that a matter of fate brought vocalist Paul Macri and drummer Luca Caracciolo together when they literally bumped into each other while walking down Queen St. in downtown Toronto. While helping Luca up from his fall, Paul noticed the drum sticks in Luca’s jacket, allowing them to realize they were both musicians. They got together the following week and instantly knew they had found something special. The two spent the next two years searching the city for the perfect musicians to complete the group. Finally, after sifting through dozens of guitarists and bassists, they found the members that will unquestionably take the band to the top. At the beginning of 2003, The band began playing shows and instantly knew they had something special, and A Thousand Cures emerged as one of the most talented, creative, and ambitious bands in Toronto.
