When members of Rains of Apathy created A Summary Execution the sound created was unlike anything heard before. A fusion of nintendo and melodic punk, with a metallic-hardcore feel, this band has an energy and innocence that separates them from the many bands that attempt to mimic the sound they have mastered. Formed: Minneapolis, US (2001) In reference to musical genres and the 'hardcore' music scene the band states simply: 'Contrary to what people call hardcore these days, we are not a hardcore band. We like to think of ourselves as Mock-Rock, Anti-Tough Guy, Nintendo and Punk Influenced Poppy Metal. Our influences also include: Beer, Alcohol, and Making Fun of Your Band.'
