This (Rock/Alt.) band was formed by years of dedication and musical paths. Although "A Punch's Pilot" made their local breakout into the scene in late fall of '08, these members have shared the stage on many prior occassions! Two years earlier, A.P.P. members were in a hard hitting local band called "D-Rail", which A.P.P. drummer Al Periandri had co-founded. He had felt and heard something special in Marx (Mark Garrett) voice; and playing style in bass player Brian Besserman (both of whom had come from an Akron based band called Ossirus). Although D-Rail had sold out local clubs and opened for many national acts, the project ended suddenly. Despite the band's breakup, Marx, Al, and Besserman would remain extremely close. After D-Rail, Al would remain drumming, but bandless. Marx and Besserman joined another local project called "Dreamcoat". Dreamcoat was also a local Cleveland band which received quick recognition. Although they were short-lived, they were able to take part in a local 92.3's The Inner Sanctum radio show and concert series, as well as opening for national acts. After Dreamcoat's breakup in late '08, Besserman, Marx, and Al reunited to form their new project: A Punch's Pilot. Shortly after forming, they decided they wanted another guitar player to make the sound even fuller, so they called on long-time friend Adam (Jersey-Boy) Delmar to come out and audition.
