A Murder of Angels is a duo from New York, NY, United States, formed in 1999 by Derek Rush (Dream Into Dust) and Bryin Dall (4th Sign of the Apocalypse). Their music, considered too disturbing and having too many other influences to be truly ambient, has been self-described as damnbient: ambient music for (or by) the damned, mixing neoclassical darkwave, electronic, and dark ambient styles. The debut full-length album, titled "While You Sleep", was released in 1999. It was followed by "In the Air" in 2002. Both albums were released through Middle Pillar Presents. In 2009 a limited edition cassette, titled "Watching the Valkyries Fall", was released on Period Tapes.
