A Heartache Remembered is a satire-based Power-Pop/Grunge band consisting of Mitch Leitschuh, Kyle Cronin, Mike Lombardo, and Josh Saxe. Starting in 2008 in the loft of Newman Studios, Heartache released their first EP "The Once-a-Day Prison To Which I Take A Public Bus To." After this release, Mike Lombardo quickly joined the band and their signing with Francis Records propelled A Heartache Remembered to the top of the satiric Power-Pop/Grunge music scene (which is a surprisingly small minority of bands.) The group gained a cult-like fan base and began to exploit and satirize nearly every cliché, musical genre, and media outlet that a band experiences in a little more than a year. These included a "prog rock phase", an acoustic album, a live album, a live acoustic album, a b-sides collection, a split EP, a cover album, a music video, and even a feature length mockumentary entitled "A Heartache Remembered: A Film About A Heartache Remembered." Heartache released over 15 original songs, 11 "albums," and helped raise funds and canned goods for various charities in their short existence. The band unofficially disbanded due to the large majority of its fan base graduating from high school. All of its members are still making music, often together under other names.
