A Faith Called Chaos was a post-hardcore band from Dallas, Texas, United States. The band started in the Dallas club scene during the winter of 2001, A Faith Called Chaos made their way into the hearts of fans of bands like Thursday, Every Time I Die, Botch, Converge and Cave In. The band recorded the Beached Life Hopes EP in 2002/2003 with Counterintelligence Recordings and began gaining outstanding fan and press appreciation. Shoutweb.com voted them as one of the top 5 upcoming bands, and praised the EP: "With tracks like Bury the Witness and Something Has To Be Said For Potentials, A Faith Called Chaos incorporates edgy hooks and intense engulfing riffs, drawing comparisons to the likes of Will Haven and Grade." Alternative Press sponsored AFCC to play selected dates on the 2003 Vans Warped Tour, and summed it up by saying: "...With their first album, Beached Life Hopes, on Counterintelligence Recordings, A Faith Called Chaos rage with outbursts of screaming that prove not every post-hardcore band is predictable. Reminiscent of early Grade, the band brings the rock with just the right amount of force and metal." (October 3rd, #183 issue) What their label wrote about them before their album release: "Post-hardcore madness and '70s oldschool rock and roll flare (guitar solos are back people....), A Faith Called Chaos's debut release, Forgive Nothing, makes obvious their grassroots hardcore background over a variety of wavelengths with in-your-face tracks such as "Circa '9
