About “A Catalyst for Destruction”: A Catalyst For Destruction (ACFD) is a self-managed, self-funded, self-promoted, work-horse of a band from Southern/Central Florida. ACFD consists of five band members who have their entire heart and soul into their music, it is what drives each one them through life. ACFD is dedicated to their art, their attention to detail and high-energy transfers flawlessly from the studio to any live setting. When you see this band, you will see a group of 5 men who will pour every last penny, every ounce of energy, and every last bead of blood and sweat into doing what they do best; bringing their music to the masses. In August 2009, ACFD played their first show, an all day festival for all of the locals in SWFL, two months later their first demo, titled Unfathomable Abysm, was recorded and release with the help of Grimface Studios. From the start ACFD made it very clear that they weren't here to mess around, nor were they going to be another one of those bands who sprouted up and fizzled away just as fast. In late 2010, having attracted the attention of Neil Sheehan, owner of Standby Records, ACFD was offered to record at Chin Music studios in Cleveland Ohio. ACFD’s sophomore release, No Prayers Answered, truly shows how quickly the band has matured in such a short period of time.
