A Black Rose Burial was a band from San Jose, which formed in 2001. Despite being pigeonholed as "deathcore" , the group combined many different styles, including metalcore, mathcore, ambient music, death metal and post-hardcore/emo/screamo along with frequent incorperation of digital media (keyboards/sampling), as well as 70's/80's horror films to their sound. In Nov. 2005, the band recorded their debut album "An Awakening of Revenants", released online a digital download exclusively.
