There are 2 or more bands named 9miles 1. A Japanese reggae band 2. The band began as a trio in October 2003 in Kefallonia,Greece with the name "Leopold's Mutant Conscience". Originally with a progressive rock sound and a psychedelic mood, they began writing their own songs until they were joined by a harp player in April 2004. Since then they have started focusing on more blues influenced and atmospheric sounds and have nearly 20 songs of their own by now. They experimented on a more pop rock sound with a female singer friend from Paris (Kabuthec)for a while but she has left the band. Their first concerts were in Lixuri of Kefallonia during some of the local festivals in of the university of music and instrument technology and after three years of being a band they have played in many bars, festivals and music scenes around Greece.
