919SLUM was a 16-year-old rapper & producer from North Carolina, who had been making music since the age of 9. His vast discography varies between genres & styles. Witch Trap, Dark Trap, Cloud Rap, Phonk, Future Synth Trap, Metal, Plugg, are examples of his versatile sound in his music. In 2016, his first steps into music creation were with "chop rap", a sub-genre of rap typically consisting of fast-paced delivery of lyrics. Afterwards, he underwent numerous aliases, style changes, as well as countless developments into the musicality of his work. The last stage of his musicality was from November of 2023 to January 2024, in which he would make progressively darker songs until retirement. The name "919SLUM" has been in use since September 2022, with its debut song being "DIE". However, it should be noted that 919SLUM's discography on streaming services does contain music as early as 2018, as many old/unreleased songs have been re-released under the 919SLUM name. 919SLUM would announce his retirement from music in January of 2024.
