8minutes was formed on a saterday day-job and started in 2006 after building their own studio in Streefkerk, the Netherlands. Music of the 4-headed band can best be described as melodic rock. The piano brings in a classical colour to the music, combined with the hard-to-label voice of Josia Bikker (vocals/piano), the sensitive strings of Aart de Bruijn (guitar), the unimitable contributing of Jeroen Bongers (bass) and the explosive expression of Martin Vonk (drums). Currently their putting the finishing touch on the demo 'Tomorrow', which shall be released in May 2009. Last summer (which was 2008) they cruised stages of different cities on their (own organised) tour in the Netherlands.
