In 1994, the group 5:05 came out with a CD called Stay Awake. The groups natural blend of pop rock, acoustic and electric sounds drove this album up the KCCN FM 100 charts. It also gave Hawai'i audiences hit songs like "I Wanna be her Man", "Tropical Beauty" and the 5:05 favorite "Puanani". The group featured Ben Vegas on vocals and guitar, Johnny Kamai on lead guitar and vocals, Blaise Sison on bass guitar, Rod Esteban on Drums and Lester Gantan on keyboards. The group disbanded in mid 1996 and reformed minus Lester Gantan as Brother to Brother, Ben Vegas' current group.
