Travis Ryan (synths, feedback machine, effects, samples) and Nathan Berlinguette (synths, guitars, effects, tapes) comprise the San Diego/San Francisco ambient/noise duo 5/5/2000. Ryan also fronts Cattle Decapitation and has released In Formation: A Tribute to Throbbing Gristle (featuring Lesser, Melvins, MSBR, Noisegate, Non and Zipper Spy among others) on his own Attention Deficit Recordings. His output also includes the noise outfit Uum (Silla Sonida = Public Humiliation for the Well-Tempered Speaker, Vinyl Communications) and his solo project The Mono Source. Berlinguette also performs with Creation Is Crucifixion on the Hactavist Media Label. The duo is currently working on a live 5/5/2000 release.
