Artist
The German trip-hop & electronica collective 4UrbanArtists was founded by the bass player and composer Daddy Deep (Volker Schwanke) in 2000. Another founding member was the British-born lyricist and singer-songwriter Frances Livings. The band was based in Hamburg and played their first regular live club gigs on the famous Reeperbahn where they met the DJ and programmer Automart (Martin Hillmann) from Krefeld, who soon joined the band as a guitarist and later co-writer. The forth member was a laptop. Other guest musicians included: Thomas Leboeg (keyboards), Jan Kunstmann (trumpet), Zico Zicovic (vocals), Boris Moench (drums). Their first album called Jungle Jazzin' was recorded in 2002/2003 but never released. Six songs from that album will be released in the summer of 2009 under the label MoontraxX (founded by Frances Livings and Greg Porée in Los Angeles).
