4 Gazm was an all-female punk rock band from Orange County, California, formed in 1995. Best known for their hard-hitting, unfiltered feminist lyrics and fast sound synonymous with the scene at the time, 4 Gazm would be a significant, yet underappreciated time capsule of their era. Their original lineup contained vocalist Pamela, guitarist Lisa Parker, bassist Jen Johnson, and drummer Lisa Becerra. 4 Gazm released their only studio album, Here Kitty… Kitty… in 1998, through Vegas Records. Guitarist Sarah Lee would later join 4 Gazm in 1998, and former Social Distortion bassist John Maurer would join after the release of their debut album. 4 Gazm would disband within the next year. In 2001, 4 Gazm’s would appear on the soundtrack for the movie Frezno Smooth, with the band performing the Go-Go’s track “We Got the Beat.” That same year, they would also appear on the Blondie tribute album How Many Bands Does It Take to Screw Up a Blondie Tribute?, performing the track “Walk Like Me.” On November 29, 2011, 4 Gazm would have a one-off reunion show at the Doll Hut in Anaheim, California, for Simo Aid Cancer Benefit. The lineup included all original members alongside Maurer. It was the band’s first live performance in twelve years. John Maurer and Lisa Parker would form a new band, Foxy, after 4 Gazm disbanded.
