3Musketiere was a short-lived experimental post-punk / new wave band, active in Stuttgart, Germany between 1981 and 1983. The band released one demo cassette, entitled Abflug (1983), which was re-released on CD by Terp Records in 2019, the independent label run by Dutch punk legends, The Ex. The Ex decided to re-release the 3Musketiere recordings because the band's drummer, Katharine 'Kat' Bornefeld, moved to Amsterdam in 1984 and joined The Ex on drums in December of that year. Kat has been in The Ex ever since. Abflug was her very first (cassette) release. In the CD booklet Kat spells the name of the band as Drei Musketiere. When you place the CD in the player the information found online credits the album to 3 Musketiere, but the spelling on the original cassette artwork and the artwork of the CD release is 3Musketiere.
