Colorado-based rock outfit 34 Satellite owe more to the country-rock of Tom Petty and the gravel-soaked lovelorn of the Replacements than to the grunge circuit that they originated from as young musicians during the early '90s. Singer/songwriter Marc Benning, drummer Mark Boquist, Snatches of Pink guitarist Marc Smith, and bassist Mike Santoro (ex-Whiskeytown) rather enjoy the spontaneous rock & roll they compose together, gathering enough praise to ink a deal with Hideaway Records and issue their debut, Radar, in late 2000. Two years later they returned with Stop, also on Hideaway. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
