3 Ministry of Less is a trio born in Nicosia, Cyprus, when George Christou purchased a good microphone. Once Antranik Zakarian heard of this recent purchase, he got his friend Yiannis Kellas and rushed from their city to Nicosia, with plans to record an experimental record within one day that used all their previous unfulfilled avant-garde ideas and dreams. The result is a noisy and eerie ambient record that transcends genre, Over a Period of Cooling. Later that year, they recorded and released Running Away in The Year of 3426, an album born of frustration over their lack of success when attempting to record a more "serious" adventure. What they ended up with was a 34-minute long session of extreme noise and heavy discomfort, the sense of frustration eminent throughout. In 2018, the group met again, this time in a different city; Limassol, to record an album with far more structure and intended vision behind it.
