3 meter älg (3 meters of moose) was a punk band that started its race in the music association Skogsbrynet in Mariestad 1993. They were out playing a bunch of gigs at theatres and fritdsgårdar and got an ensemble of fans that obviously loved their first demo "Klubba mera säl" ("Club more seals"). Thomas Gustafsson played second guitar at this time, until Johan Klasson took over some time in '94 or '95. 1995 they went into the studio again and recorded the second demo, "Död och begraven" ("Dead and buried"), that sadly never saw the light of day. The recording were finished (and really good) but because of laziness the band never made copies of it. In 1997 the last full-length demo with 3 meter älg was recorded in Studio Brynet. "På liv och död" ("On life and death") turned out really good, but the same problem as with the previous recording, and noone bothered to make copies of it either. In 1998 3 meter älg had it's final death twitches and went into the studio one last time to record one song for a compilation record with all the bands in the Skogsbrynet. The song was called "Fattig eller rik" ("Poor or rich") and was probably the best that the band ever did. The band split up later the same year.
