2b3 Featuring Tada Girl gets plucked from record shop and thrust into successful singing career. Unlikely story? Not for Tada. The 26 year old singer / songwriter from South London would spend hours in her local record shop Maestro records, chatting to the owner about her vocal prowess and her dreams of becoming an established singer. He was so impressed with her enthusiasm and vocal ability, that he passed Tada’s demo into the hands of Award winning producer Neville Thomas from 2b3 Records. Thomas who has created hits for Beverley Knight as well as producing classic remixes for artists such as Brandy, D’Angelo and Jodeci was in the process of starting 2b3 Records and had no qualms about signing Tada as his fist act. “It was such a good feeling getting signed to 2b3. They really believe in me as an artist and I just want to deliver.” Say’s Tada enthusiastically. Tada was born and raised in South East London to Jamaican / Nigerian parents. She was always singing as a child and was heavily influenced by the likes of Mary J Blige, Aretha Franklin and Faith Evans. Her soul/ RnB roots can be heard in her debut album, In Honour of Soul. The melodic set has snippets for everyone with the positive, infectious Keep Your Head Up to the up-tempo vibrant A Little Bit. The aforementioned songs, produced by Neville and co-written with Tada are also featured in the forthcoming film The Prodigals, a short film produced for Lambeth Council to address the high number of young peop
