Shéyaa Bin Abraham-Joseph (born 22 October 1992), known professionally as 21 Savage, is a British-born rapper based in Atlanta, Georgia. Born in London and raised in the United States, he began his recording career in 2013 and released three independent mixtapes that received regional attention. His first major commercial breakthrough came with the collaborative extended play "Savage Mode" (2016), recorded with producer Metro Boomin, which peaked at number 23 on the Billboard 200. The EP produced the singles "X" (featuring Future) and "No Heart", both of which reached the top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100. Later in 2016, he gained further recognition through a guest appearance on Drake’s single "Sneakin'". He signed a recording contract with Epic Records in January 2017. 21 Savage released his debut studio album, "Issa Album", in 2017, where it peaked at number two on the Billboard 200. Its lead single, "Bank Account", reached number 12 on the Billboard Hot 100. That same year, he released the collaborative album "Without Warning" with Metro Boomin and rapper Offset, and appeared as a featured artist on Post Malone’s single "Rockstar", which topped the Billboard Hot 100 and received nominations for Record of the Year and Best Rap/Sung Performance at the 61st Annual Grammy Awards.
