Artist
2 Star Tabernacle was a countrified rock n roll band from Detroit formed by Dan Miller and Jack White (both on guitars and lead vocals) from the remains of Goober & The Peas. Rounding out the band were Tracee Miller on bass and Damien Steele on drums. 2 Star Tabernacle played in and around Detroit between 1997 and March of 1999. They only made one official release, a two song 7" single on Bloodshot as the backing band for Andre Williams. The songs on the release are "Lilly White Mama & Jet Black Daddy" on side A (written by Andre Williams) and "Ramblin' Man" written by Hank Williams. Their live shows featured songs that Dan Miller and Jack White would later use in their future bands Blanche and The White Stripes respectively aswell as covers of songs by Hank Williams, the Stanley Brothers and Merle Travis.
