2-Pump Louie has been a mainstay of Toronto's punk/hardcore scene for over four years. In that time, they have also toured places such as Montreal, Quebec, New York, Texas, and Washington D.C. In June of '98, they recorded a cassette EP, entitled "All the hits and more," which sold out of all three of its pressings. Subsequently, in September of '99, their first CD, Revenge of the Alien Baby was released at two separate events (an All-ages show and a 19+ show) on the same day, ensuring that no fan would be left out. The album proved to be a milestone for the group - and not just because copies of it went on to sell worldwide. Apparently, the band (then a foursome) had found a kindred spirit in the album's producer, a local "acoustic punk" performer by the name of Cactus. He was soon added as the band's second (electric) guitarist.
