16th Avenue were a Pop Punk band from Saint John, NB, Canada. They have performed all across Canada and the United States, with the highlight of having appeared on the 2007 Vans Warped Tour. The band professionally recorded their debut album 'In It To Win It' and were in the midst of recording new material when their guitarist (known in the band as Joel Avenue) tragically passed away. Surviving members Adam & Chris have decided to continue on, retiring the 16th Avenue name and releasing the few songs that had been created for the upcoming album. Their new band will be called The Playdates and consists of simply the two of them for now. They have performed across Canada with such acts as MXPX, Ten Second Epic, Armor For Sleep, Mariana's Trench, Faber Drive, Mobile, Boys Night Out, Moneen and countless others on the '07 Vans Warped Tour.
